He’s attentive, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is just right. Whether it’s recommending a great drink or making sure we’re well taken care of, Jay delivers an outstanding experience every time. The Local at The Shacks is already a great spot, but Jay’s service makes it even better. Highly recommend!
I love going to the Local for game days especially! But also live in Austin Ranch so often times I just walk there and hang out! So much to offer here and with the best bartenders Jared and Mika. They know so many of us by name and take care of my friends and I making sure we got a drink in our hand! They also build conversations and relationships with people they are serving which makes us all want to come back and enjoy this awesome place!
I love coming to this place with my friends. The bartender Matt makes it very welcoming and is always so attentive and makes great drinks. Everyone always provides great service but Matt goes above and beyond. Matt just doesn’t bartend, he also DJ’s as well at Saintsbury and whenever we walk in and see him as the DJ we know it’s gonna be a fun few hours. Matt is a great person and the local should be lucky to have him.
Jeremy the manager had excellent customer service and management skills. He was very nice and made sure my experience was a good one for my first time at this establishment. He was very approachable and relatable. Beer was cold and he made an effort to check on me consistently. Will come back to watch more sporting events, great atmosphere, had a lot of games and amenities, nice people up here!

This is one of my go-to spots because it has everything. It's at the Shacks at Austin Ranch with plenty of parking (and a dog park) so you can bring your pup along. Tons of outdoor seating, TVs everywhere, fire pits, corn hole, a little putting green, billiards, beer pong, jenga. Sometimes they have live music, Chicken Scratch Bingo and other events. Definitely some great spots for photo ops. There's a huge bar. Lots of climate controlled seating for watching sports. Really great beer selection. I like sitting on the covered, cushioned furniture enjoying one of their pizzas on a weekend afternoon. Sometimes I stop by on my way home from a nearby dinner place. Definitely recommend!
What a great spot for an evening with friends or that special someone. I love how everything is spread out and offers a variety of food types. Super cool that it’s dog friendly (saw many furry friends that evening). The service was great, I was a little disappointed that they were out of meatball sliders but will look forward to trying them next time. We were there for a concert and there wasn’t a spot where the music wasn’t present. The outside was great, a break to go inside was nice where the bar area was air conditioned. I will look forward to many future visits!
